Taylor Wastewater Treatment Plant

City of Taylor, AL

After utilizing the wastewater treatment services of an adjacent city utility authority for years, the City of Taylor sought to build independent utility infrastructure to support their growing community. CDG was selected to assist in developing a greenfield wastewater treatment plant capable of handling existing flows and planned future growth for the City and provided conceptual development, funding procurement assistance, permitting services, design, bidding assistance, and construction administration. The new wastewater treatment plant includes headworks, a dual-basin SBR system, equalization, UV disinfection, aerobic digestion, and solids dewatering via screw press. A new administration building with an office for utility personnel was constructed to house controls for the new plant. The new plant allows the City to utilize a self-sufficient system while supporting more than 1000 residents.
