The CDG team is made up of 140 employees, each bringing a unique set of skills, interests and experiences to the firm.
As impressive as those people are individually, when they come together as a team they are able to accomplish creative solutions to engineering challenges.
Each month CDG recognizes its team members who performed exceptionally well based on recommendations by their peers and supervisors. Below are some of their remarks commending each other for excellent work.
“With his 30+ years’ experience in the engineering field, Randy has come along to be a coach and mentor to our team. We all benefit from his wisdom and experience on a daily basis. His commitment to quality is second to none and because of that, he is currently leading the charge to draft a formal quality management plan for the transportation practice and doing a wonderful job. Finally, he has recently been hitting the roads and visiting prospective clients. Wherever he goes, he works as an ambassador for not only our transportation group but also CDG as a whole.”
“Ryan is an incredibly valuable team member and always excels in what he does. He is always willing to help anyone with any task at any time. When the job calls for field work, he takes care of it. When the job calls for assistance in helping other team members catch up with office tasks such as drafting, he takes care of it. He approaches the various tasks that are presented to him with a great attitude and a sense of humor. Recently, Ryan has been a tremendous asset in getting a project back on track through a combination of field and office work.”
“Our area went through a lot of changes over the past several months. Ashley’s dedication to our contract and the willingness to take on more responsibility was essential (and that’s an understatement). Ashley is easy to work with and open to doing out of the ordinary tasks. We are constant and steady because of her efforts and more recently I’ve noticed how she is doing little things to continue to improve our processes. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate everything she has done!”
“Heather is a valuable part of the CDG team. Over the past several weeks, Heather has been instrumental in preparing for our office relocation. She has tirelessly packed box after box and been willing to assist others with their preparations. Her assistance and cooperation with organizing files for destruction and overall general clean-up has been a tremendous help. Thank you, Heather, for all you do and your commitment to the CDG team.”
“Clint is an awesome part of the CDG Team, and over the past several months he’s taken on a big part of the field work load for the UST group. From groundwater sampling, to O&M of on-site systems and providing oversight of MEME events, Clint is a huge part of our success.”
“We would like to extend a job well done to the field services team comprised of Andy Jones, Health Holmes, Scott Porche, Hoyt O’Neal, Michael Sanders and Rob Maddox. These gentlemen did a tremendous job for CDG while drilling at the Lowman Power Plant. This group tackled a large scope of drilling work that was not without its challenges. These guys handled everything as it came their way while acting as solid representatives of CDG. Thanks for putting in the long days filled with hard work!”

“Joe has been a great asset to our Huntsville office. He’s easy to work with, great at communicating, and always has a smile. He gets whatever job we ask of him done and has even worked late hours and weekends when needed. He’s a delight to work with, and I’m happy he’s a part of our team.”
“I would like to recognize Mr. Jeff Harrison for his efforts as this office’s Team Leader, Project/Phase Manager, Salesperson, Engineer, and Team Player. Mr. Harrison does it all for the CDG Auburn Office in respect to developing and fortifying client relationships; bringing in strong business opportunities and through his relentless efforts of gaining trust from his clients, making opportunities into projects, not only for this office, but for CDG as a whole.”
“Kim Ballard has been a fantastic part of our CDG team for many years now. Most recently, she has been an integral part of helping the project managers in PIM and Vision with all of the changes we’ve recently implemented. We appreciate all that Kim does to keep things running smoothly in our office. A BIG THANKS to Kim for going the extra mile and doing all the things that she does for all of us here at CDG!”
“Amanda is a team player and is always ready to help. Amanda was instrumental in getting our electronic logs to work on CDG’s DOT-regulated trucks which was a huge complicated process. Amanda is willing to take on any challenge and always does it with a smile. Thanks, Amanda, for being a great employee.”
“I would like to formally recognize Madison for the outstanding job that she did assisting with the creation of the performance review database and bonus and incentive calculations and for her extremely impressive communication effort. Madison’s organizational skills and attention to the details were very valuable in our collaborative effort to produce a solid platform for this process. She demonstrated initiative and a very adaptive use of technology skills in the design and execution of the deliverable. I am very thankful to have her on our team and look forward to working with her and watching her talent develop.”
“Keith is a valuable employee that is always ready to help in any way. The field technicians rely on his opinion, and his years of experience make him an expert in all we touch. Keith treats everybody with respect and can make a bad situation seem less problematic with a little knowledge. Thanks for all you do.”
“Laura Kate has shown real talent and initiative in learning how to create effective GIS maps and cheerfully taken on the challenge of learning water system modeling. I am very impressed with her progress and ability to see patterns and find solutions.”
“I’d like to recognize Heather McBrayer for her outstanding work and attitude in tending to virtually all things related to the operation of Cynergy’s CNG station in Dothan since the departure of John Scott last April. Heather showed great initiative in stepping into a very different and difficult role, quickly adapting to addressing the normal day-to-day operation,s as well as many troubleshooting activities. She has proven to be very meticulous in taking ownership of the station from day one. Her activities have involved a number of site visits to reset faults during many non-work hours or days and in all weather conditions. I want to commend her for her outstanding efforts to keep operations together!”
“Brandon came to CDG back in August and has been a great addition to the geotechnical practice team. He has jumped in quickly to perform, schedule, and review testing and inspection work for numerous projects. He has also been a major asset in getting the laboratory up and running in Huntsville. Brandon shows a willingness to do what it takes to get varying tasks completed in a professional and accurate manner. We look forward to seeing his role grow in CDG.”
“Johnny Moseley is our main groundwater sampling tech and is always prepared to get the job done in a professional manner. Johnny’s 20 plus years with CDG has put him in a position to be a teacher and a leader in the groundwater field. Johnny is very dependable and takes on any job, small or large, with help or no help with an ‘I can get ‘er done attitude.’ Through the years, Johnny has traveled all over with our old ICE meme machines and worked on the drill crew and was a driller also. I remember when Johnny’s son Russell was born and now Russell has a son and Johnny a grandson! Johnny continues to be an important part of our UST team and a genuinely great person, employee, and friend to many people at CDG.”
“Rusty oversees our O&M operations for the systems for the Andalusia Branch and has for the last 10 years. As of now, he is doing maintenance and sampling on 14 systems with more on the way. Rusty has great knowledge of all the working parts of these systems, electrical, pumps, valves, etc. Rusty is always prepared to troubleshoot and repair most any problem when on site. Rusty’s background in offshore drilling and farming has been a great asset for his O&M role at CDG. Rusty works with very little help and little supervision and works in harmony with all project managers and others. We are fortunate to have him at CDG as an employee and a great person.”
“Several times throughout 2018, team members have commented to me about the excellent work that Kendall has done developing proposals, posters, marketing pieces, and presentation materials. The documents that she creates are professional, attractive and convey an image that CDG is a high-quality engineering firm. Thanks, Kendall, for having our back!”
“Daniel has been a great asset to the CDG team from day one. He has a great attitude and works hard to ‘do it right the first time.’ Not only is he good at his job, but he also jumps in to help whenever needed. Recently Daniel took it upon himself to chop up a huge limb of a tree in our backyard that had fallen during the recent storms just because it needed to be done! Daniel is greatly appreciated and is a valued member of our team!”
“Ray has long been our go-to guy for AutoCad needs in the UST group. You can count on him to knock out any figure you’re needing in a quick, efficient manner. Lately, Ray has been spearheading the new Spiceworks help desk system for UST figures. He took the lead on the project and helped get it off the ground and running. He is a true asset to the CDG team!”
“Josh is always eager to provide project updates and is beneficial to helping properly man the northern projects. He is a key asset to the CE&I team, and his versatility allows him to multitask over numerous projects.”
“Wesley Sanders has done a fantastic job of completing the Larkwood Bridge plans for the City of Cullman. This is an ATRIP project that has struggled for a while but is finally nearing completion thanks to Wesley’s hard work and dedication to the project. Wesley has a good work ethic, and we are glad to have him on our team.”
“Heath continues to be a valuable asset to the CDG team. Drawing upon his prior experience in the water well drilling industry, he has helped develop a drilling team that is competitive in capabilities to any that I have worked with in my 27 years in the environmental field. This is most evident when working with site conditions that present unique challenges. Heath is always willing to employ varying and sometimes innovative solutions to ensure that the required site data needs are met and that the end result of our drilling efforts is a product who’s quality attests to CDG’s professional standards within the environmental engineering industry.”
